Family ProtectorSM Plan FAQ's

Q. I'm married and we both want coverage. How does my spouse apply?
A. That's easy! Your spouse (age 18 to 60) needs to Get a Quote, select a plan, complete the form, and click ‘Submit’. Or call us now at 877-556-7500 .

Q. Does this insurance only last for 10 or 20 years - what happens then?
A. No! This term life coverage can last to age 95, as long as you pay your premiums. Some people only want a significant amount of coverage for the years when they're raising a family - kids at home or in college. So those people might only keep this coverage for 10 or 20 years. But you can continue the coverage for as long as you like - all the way to age 95. The rate lock is good for 10 years or 20 years, depending on the plan you choose. Once the "rate lock" ends, you'll pay a different rate. Please note, 20-year rate lock available only to ages 18-50.

Q. Do I have to take a medical exam to qualify for this insurance?
A. No! Unlike some policies, no medical exam is required for this coverage, even for the $100,000 plan. An underwriter will contact you by telephone with some questions, and your answers over the phone will help us determine your eligibility and rate class. As part of our underwriting process, we may also obtain information from a consumer reporting agency. Please note, the $100,000 benefit is available only to ages 18-50.

Q. Why do I need to answer questions over the phone?
A. As you'll see for yourself, these are very favorable rates. In order to offer rates this affordable, some companies require a medical exam, blood work, etc. We don't ask you to take any lab tests or have any kind of medical exam. Instead, we conduct a telephone interview as part of the application process.
